The unveiling of the bust of Manchester's national hero Norman Washington Manley and storyboards of the Mandeville Court House and the St Mark's Anglican Church (Mandeville Parish Church) for the Cecil Charlton Park were among the day's highlights.
Mayor of Mandeville Brenda Ramsay, in bringing greetings on behalf of Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, told her audience that they should "draw on the lessons of history".
